Why?

The biggest advantages when shopping from local companies or brands, is supporting local communities, keeping money within those communities and supporting jobs that also benefit said communities. The trickle down effect will positively impact local areas and help grow these communities. Small changes in buying habits goes a long way.

By promoting Canadian brands and/or Canadian sourced items, our goal is to actively encourage brands to keep manufacturing local and show a consumer demand. A growing trend mixed with increasing consumer demand, will hopefully push companies towards that direction.

One of the biggest issues with local production, is the increase in labor costs, development costs and the lower margins. While this is a valid concern, this profit comes at the risk of exploitative working conditions, wages and manufacturing techniques.
